WDS Battle Of Antioch - AAR In The Making

Also starting a full AAR of the Battle Of Antioch as depicted in WDS' Crusades : Book I wargame. Will not post again on this until the full scenario is completed. All 42 turns of it. Briefing Date : June 28th, 1098 - Size: Large - Location : The City of Antioch Crusade : 1st Crusade   Scenario Briefing: This scenario is a variation of the previous scenario. Please read the briefing for that battle if you have not already done so. This battle will commence before daylight and so far, only a few Crusaders have crossed the Orontes River. The remaining men must cross as soon as possible and form battle lines to crush the Seljuks before they can assemble and form their own lines of battle. Be careful of the bottleneck at the bridge. Only a few can cross at a time and many thousands are waiting behind those that have already crossed. For some reason I just needed a reset for the blog as a whole. Call it a clean out of the mind. Same theme, all things gaming . Mostly I end up gaming war , but other games hop on the tabletop virtual and real from time to time. Latest game brought to my attention is. One battle (set of battles) I just read about that I want to game out some time is the 2nd Battle Of Trenton (Battle Of Assunpick Creek / Battle Of Princeton 1777. A pitched portion of the Battle Of Princeton, 1777 A remarkable piece of tactical operational adjustment in this battle. Just a master work of fighting with inferior forces against a formidable seasoned enemy.
