Generative / Rouge-Lite Games Are Slowly Percolating To The Top Of My Playlist
The Games I've Played Most Of Late... Seem to mostly be generative in nature. Basically any game that ends up using some form of "seeding" is a part of this milieu. I will preemptively place Burden Of Command in this mix, as straight the from mouth of Luke Hughes, head developer for the rather unique leader-centric, role-playing minded ww2 tactical wargame, they are considering a new campaign mode that is generative in approach. I was both excited and surprised by this revelation. I hope they can pull it off AND equally stay historical in approach; which it already has in spades.
