Friend James Jeffers is running a great owlbear online VTT based Second Sather War online using the tried and true Knight Hawks basic tactical and expanded campaign rules from Star Frontiers.

Loose Files And American Scramble is an extremely approachable yet subtly detailed little rule set, buried in an old copy of Wargames Illustrated magazine, which included it in one of its issues.
