It's a Rev War Three-Way: Introduction

I've been on a Rev War kick of late. I've been reading the latest from the Rick Atkinson series of rev war history books:  https://rickatkinson.com/   and I've been re-reading the Nathaniel Phibrick  https://www.nathanielphilbrick.com/ trilogy as well. Both are outstanding pieces of historical writing. Well worth owning both series! Get them. So this sparked the idea that I should do a Rev War Three-Way. Yes, your jokes are welcome. So I've been meaning to do this for some time, and I think I'm in the right mindset to properly cover all three more appropriately than when I first thought of doing this.  First up will be Ultimate General : American Revolution Second up will be SGS We The People Third up will be their ultimate predecessor, the AEGOD engine based Birth Of America 2 . After actions continue in Close Combat : The Longest Day, arguably one of the better of the Close Combat series.  First two objectives taken. City center taken. Many enemy routed or killed. Truce offered by the enemy. Mission completed.

Close Combat: The Longest Day is one of the best of the series, from my limited play of it at least. Just a rock solid wargame. Good ambiance, nice morale mechanics. Well done all around. Starting the first mission of the many provided. Will report again only after I get to the summary screen, win or lose.
